The new Sioux Falls mobile grocery store has announced its first job opening. Applications are now being accepted for the mobile market manager by the Eat Well Sioux Falls Mobile Market Advisory Board.

The Mobile Market Manager will spearhead this innovative new project that seeks to improve health outcomes by ensuring equitable access to healthy food using a mobile grocery store in Sioux Falls.

“The Mobile Market Advisory Board is looking for a proactive and hands-on manager. This individual will be a positive ambassador that provides excellent customer service,” said Michelle Erpenbach, president of Sioux Falls Thrive, the organization hosting the project’s pilot phase. “The manager will also drive the Mobile Market, manage relationships with food suppliers, perform basic accounting and coordinate with project partners.”

Erpenbach said the market is on track to open by Oct. 1. It will serve residents in neighborhoods around the area of the Cliff and Benson intersection. Business hours and locations will be based on a customer survey and announced at a later date.
