Joining the 11-member team are Mary Dally, CPA Partner, Thurman, Comes, Foley & Co, LLP; Pooja Pullman, MBA, Head of Internal Audit, Raven Industries; Alex Ramirez, Owner, USA Media TV & Marketing; and Dr. Jane Stavem, Superintendent, Sioux Falls School District.
Deb Koski, Sanford Health Foundation, chairs the leadership team, with Doug Hajek, Davenport Evans Lawyers, continuing as past chair.
We’re looking forward to a dynamic year. Our action teams and Kid-Link Riverside, our new neighborhood initiative, are working nonstop to close the opportunity gap for disadvantaged school-age children.
Sioux Falls Thrive is a cradle to career initiative founded in response to Forward Sioux Falls Strategic Workforce Agenda.
“One-third of our kids, about 8,000, deal with food insecurity, housing shortages, or a lack of meaningful out-of-school time opportunities,” Koski said. “Thrive is proud that more than 200 volunteers and over 50 organizations are working to remove obstacles to student success.”
In 2020-2021, Evan Nolte will serve as vice-chair, with Beth Fuller Jensen, KELOLAND Media, and Bill Baker, First National Bank in Sioux Falls, continuing as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Lisa Beacom and Fred Slunecka round out Thrive’s governing board.
